Our Beginnings On Track Ministries had its beginning when the Martins began searching for a way to minister to the racing community at Baer Field Speedway in Fort Wayne, Indiana. On Track Ministries takes "church to the track" as they conduct on-site chapel services, Bible studies, personalized counseling and perform crisis intervention for the racers and their families in the event of racing accidents. Special Race Day events help to develop stronger family relationships, leadership training and provide personal witnessing. Today, whether its stock cars, go-karts or motorcycles, David and the On Track Ministries team are ministering at local tracks and churches on any given weekend. David also serves as the pastor of Graceway Church in Auburn, Indiana. Born in Florida, David's formative years were spent helping his father by working in his auto salvage business. David's parents were leaders in their local church. Accepting Christ as his Savior in 1976 was a turning point in David's life. After graduating from Baptist Bible College in 1987, David served as an associate pastor in Shelbyville, Indiana before spending the next several years pastoring churches in Pennsylvania and Indiana. In 2000 the Martin family moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana to pursue serving in motor sports ministries full time. David and his wife, Theresa, are an inseparable couple as they minister together at tracks and churches across the country. |
